Altanium® CX’s unique modular design offers the highest level of configuration flexibility. The self-contained controller units can be used freestanding, mounted on the mold or mounted alongside, behind, or even inside the injection-molding machine. Choose between three interchangeable, operator interfaces supported by either an angle adjustable pedestal or optional machine mounted articulating suspension arm.

Most competitive solutions are very limited in scale supporting only an average of six to 12 zones, and requiring the combination of multiple standalone units to support complex, high cavity molds.

Altanium® CX is fully scalable, supporting a maximum of 192 zones with a single controller design. For added flexibility, multiple systems can be linked up to a single operator interface for occasional high cavitation applications. This makes it easy to standardize on a single system and offers a higher level of investment protection as it can be upgraded to support future, larger configurations.

Advanced Power Control
The Altanium® CX series controllers offer high temperature control accuracy for existing and future low-mass nozzles, featuring user selectable Phase Angle or Zero Cross power control per zone, state of the art current sensors, electrically isolated thermocouples, and enhanced control software.
User selectable Phase Angle and Zero Cross modes provide infinite control resolution and accuracy for any type of application. New control algorithms also reduce large inrush power to the mold. Altanium® CX provides 15 Amps (20 or 30 Amps optional) per zone and includes a high-amperage main disconnect.

Altanium® CX provides a much higher degree of power efficiency. Increased temperature control accuracy allows for lower setpoints, resulting in less need for cooling, a shorter cycle time and minimizes energy usage.

Unlike systems with inefficient central power supplies, Altanium® CX control cards each have their own power supply limiting overall power consumption. Internal energy loss through heat dissipation is reduced by using outward facing heatsinks, thus providing more efficient cooling.

Easily Adaptable
Altanium® CX controllers are durable and robust with powder coated steel enclosures and high quality connectors. With the new integrated Adapta-Tek Box™, changing the mold interface wiring is quick and cost effective.

Smaller package, more power
Each Power Pack has a large heatsink and can house up to six power and six control cards. The control cards are autonomous and communicate data to the Operator Interface as well as to other control cards. The heart of each control card is an advanced processor, specifically developed for the power control industry.
